D&D Student Version
A Roleplay Adventure in Identity, Chaos, and Classroom Camaraderie
A Roleplay Adventure in Identity, Chaos, and Classroom Camaraderie
Welcome, traveler, to the great and noble realm of Public Education! Today, you will not merely be a student—you will become a character.
Will you be a Justice Warrior with chihuahua-level anxiety? A People Pleaser who smells fantastic but can’t do math? Or maybe a Nerd with cruel parents and the universe on their side?
This isn't just a worksheet—it's a chaotic, hilarious, sometimes wildly accurate journey through the magical world of your alternate academic identity. You'll roll the dice (literally), assign wild traits, and emerge reborn... in student form.
Sure, you can do this activity by yourself at home, quietly chuckling at your bad luck alone...
BUT IT’S WAY MORE FUN TO DO IT AS A CLASS.
This page will guide you through how to do it independently, but in class, we’ll go through it together—laughing, gasping, and pointing fingers when someone rolls a 2 for Charisma.
1. Partner Up
Find a noble companion (or two). You’ll be rolling for each other, not for yourself. Why? Because chaos is a team sport.
Flying solo? No worries. Just roll for yourself like the independent adventurer you are.
2. Grab Your Tools
You’ll each need:
A 20-sided die (a d20)
The Character Sheet (to record your glorious stats)
Move through the slide deck in the following order:
Roll a d20 to discover your partner’s Student Class. Will they be a Criminal? An Artist? A Parent Acolyte?
Roll a d20 for their moral compass. If they land on "Neutral Neutral"—don’t groan! That means they must stay balanced: for every good deed, a little mischief must follow.
Roll once for each of the six traits:
Athleticism
Intelligence
Creativity & Cleverness
Constitution (mental strength)
Charisma
Luck
⚠️ No rerolls allowed. A 2 is a 2. Embrace it. Superman is boring—flawed characters are the fun ones.
Roll three times to grant your partner powerful or hilarious blessings. Maybe they smell fantastic, or maybe they’re a political genius. Lucky them.
Roll three more times. These are the tragic flaws or unfortunate quirks that round out your partner’s character. Smells like Axe Body Spray? Can’t write? Allergic to everything? Ouch.
🤹 Conflict? If a Boon or Curse contradicts a Trait, feel free to reroll one. The goal is fun, not power.
Now that you know who they are, give them a name that matches their glorious (or disastrous) personality.
Neutral ≠ boring. It means balanced. Embrace the complexity.
Low traits = high entertainment. Don’t chase perfection. This isn’t Skyrim.
Rerolling is for joy, not strength. If something doesn’t spark joy, tweak it.
#1 Rule: HAVE FUN. This is a storytelling game, not a grade.
